Shingle Roofing Process: Cole Roofing removes old roofing material down to the bare wood per code compliance. All rotten, unsafe wood that could compromise the integrity of the roof is replaced. We remove all unnecessary fasteners from the previous roof to prevent leaks. Wood decking is renailed per Hurricane Mitigation requirements. All seams in the decking are then sealed with a self-adhering polymer modified bitumen. After preparation the desired underlayment is installed. The shingles are then applied to provide the aesthetic you imagine when you think "quality roof."
